Charge -
On March 18th, 1961 at approximately 9:50 a.m., the body of Jean Mocharski was located under the Alexander Docks, severely injured and unconscious. An employee who was tasked to test water levels at the dock noted blood stains on the ice of the river near the sewer opening and followed them to where her body was located. The employee immediately called for Police and Ambulance advising them that a “male” was “asleep” under the dock, and was covered from the neck down with a jacket or coat. Mocharski was rushed to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
She was last seen just after midnight that fateful day, but her movements afterwards up until she was located, remain unknown.
