Statistics Canada Data: Winnipeg = 34 Manitoba = 50 (includes Winnipeg)
For 2004, Statistics Canada reported 50 homicide victims for the province of Manitoba with 34 of those homicides occurring in Winnipeg. In the Winnipeg table below I have identified 34 Cases (0 Unsolved). In the Manitoba table I've identified xx (in progress). Some of the unsolved and disappearance cases may have been resolved but not reported to media. | 2004.10 | AUDY, Cynthia Albena (27) | MISSING - Cynthia Albena Audy, 27, was the mother of two children when she vanished from Winnipeg's North End in October 2004. The Winnipeg Police Service's investigation turned up no leads, and in July 2012, Project Devote took it on. | 2004.10.28 | RATTLESNAKE, Diana (49) | UNSOLVED - Diana Rattlesnake was a mother of three who loved to read books and do beadwork. The 49-year-old was found dead in a Brandon, Manitoba rooming house on October 28, 2004. An autopsy revealed she had blunt force trauma to her head.
