On March 17th, 2007 at 2:30 a.m., two males became involved in a physical altercation at a residence in the 400 block of Hamilton Avenue resulting in John Andrew Lane (25) being stabbed in the upper body.
Lane was conveyed to hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit investigation has resulted in the arrest of Erik Ryan Cassan (21). Cassan has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
