On March 26th, 2007 at 4:25 p.m., Thomas Roy Phillips (38) was found injured in a vehicle in front of a residence in the 500 block of Magnus Avenue. Phillips had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
Phillips, allegedly was sitting in his vehicle when two males approached and fired shots into the vehicle. He received gun shot wounds to his upper body and head.
The police investigation led to the arrest of a 15 year old male of no fixed address. This young offender has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
On August 4th, 2007, shortly after 8:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service located and arrested a second male in connection with this incident. A 16 year old male of no nixed address has also been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
