Statistics Canada Data: Winnipeg = 39 Manitoba = 53 (includes Winnipeg)
For 2011, Statistics Canada reported 53 homicide victims for the province of Manitoba with 39 of those homicides occurring in Winnipeg. In the Winnipeg table below I have identified 41 Cases (2 Unsolved). In the Manitoba table I've identified xx (in progress). Some of the unsolved and disappearance cases may have been resolved but not reported to media. | 2011.08.08 | SKYE, Tiffany Maureen (19) | UNSOLVED - Tiffany Maureen Skye, 19, from Bloodvein First Nation, Man., was last seen on Aug. 8, 2011, in Winnipeg. Her body was found five days later near the St. Andrews dam at Lockport, north of Winnipeg. Skye was funny and outgoing and liked to spend time with her younger sister. Her case, deemed criminal in nature, is open and being investigated by Project Devote, a joint task force of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP that investigates unsolved historical homicides and missing person cases. https://www.cbc.ca/missingandmurdered/mmiw/profiles/tiffany-maureen-skye |

| 2011 | DESJARLAIS, Audrey Mary (n/a) | UNSOLVED - Audrey Mary Desjarlais, a member of Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Alberta, raised her children in Saskatchewan. About 15 years ago, she left her family in Regina, and relocated to Steinbach, Man. Her daughter Barb Desjarlais says Audrey always called to check in but those calls stopped in 2011. The Desjarlais family hasn't heard from her since. In April, 2015, Winnipeg Police Service requested Barb's DNA, to follow up on the possibility that unidentified remains pulled from Winnipeg's Red River in June 2012 are those of her mother.
